VR starts at the center - yet again - leaving a beautiful star pattern of satchels as he abandons the Flag for NKI and Baak to fight over.

Baak takes a stance at the center hill and his Dwarfs are red hot!!

Everyone is at the Flag for one tense grand finale! :D

Baak/TS grab the Bacon but fail to defend the outer perimeter of the room to which they take it (their original starting area) - which proves fatal!

NKI/VR/HS perform a textbook three-way attack on Baak/TS and are relentless!

Notable are the Flaming Arrows from the Archers, those Dwarves around the doorway, the Pus Ghols on the ramp, and especially that 5-kill Veteran Heron who survives a Baak/TS Warlock blast and then shreds a less experienced but full-health Baak/TS Heron!

This is such a great map! Seems to always end close!!

TS/VR/Baak suffer a nasty Friendly Fire incident that is actually caused by a double-pus auto-fire from two Ghols that Baak brought up near the battle without watching them! They do a nice job of taking out the NKI/HS Zerks but the pus triggers an unexploded Dorf Bottle right next to the TS/VR/Baak units - causing total destruction! Doh!

From there NKI/HS seem to work as a team just a little bit better than TS/VR/Baak - slowly picking away and making gains - especially when their JMan takes out the TS/VR/Baak Dorf!

Nicely played!

VR starts at the center with the Ball. While he is setting up a defense, Baak swarms in with enough Ghols to overwhelm his Dwarves and they blow up! Oh man!

But, this leaves Baak vulnerable to the inevitable counterstrike as VR now has more Ghols than Baak (as well as a bunch of Thrall!)

It's very touch-and-go when VR's Ghols swarm in on Baak - luckily there are no auto-satchel-explosions (this is very tense!).

Baak keeps one Dwarf alive, and he appears blessed by the Gods of Balin. He just can't seem to throw a dud in the heat of it - and only one dud could mean the difference on this one!

Great Game!!

VR and TS haggle for the Ball and VR pushes it over the cliff, where it will remain for the rest of the game - but what a spot!

HS and NKI go at it briefly, then NKI and VR start up. NKI's Dorf goes after Baak's (who was trying to sneak attack) and gets flanked by Baak's Archers - so begins an escalating battle between NKI and Baak! (Surprised?)

Then it's VR on the hill - he and Baak get into a frenzied Archer exchange which leaves them both reeling. The "One Minute Remaining" is announced and they gradually shift attention to the Ball!

Meanwhile, TS and HS have been going at it - and HS's Dorf and Archers are a menace! Baak realizes the only way to contest from the top of the hill is to move next to the edge of the cliff and sit - but HS fills his JMan with arrows, swiftly followed by a Warrior! Get those Knights up here! ;)

It comes down to HS and Baak, now deep in a two-minute-plus Sudden Death - and this match is to de det...

Great Game and well played all!!

TS comes in on Baak and takes his Dorf and Archers virtually unawares!

Then a huge battle ensues, and Baak manages to come out slightly ahead, but must now face TS's Dorf and Archers! Luckily his trusty Pus Ghols comes in and wreak havoc on them!

But check it out!! TS's Dorf suffers a "hard death" and his satchels explode - taking out all but one wounded Baak Ghol that TS's JMan finishes off with one hit! And this is key because: TS's JMan now has a little "experience" with that one kill!

And yet - Baak isn't dead? Hah! He also has one JMan that he moved out of the area earlier!

CHECK OUT THE ENDING ON THIS ONE!! JMan vs. JMan - Mano y Mano - TS has a little better time hitting Baak, but Baak manages to pick up those roots! (and boy does he need 'em!) - TS runs out of roots and Baak just gets him at the water's edge!

HS fends off VR's initial attack, and both sides take out the others Dorf - VR with a Heron and HS with a Ghol (watch out for HS's Ghols, they're getting tough these days!)

Just as VR sends most of his remaining army out to attack HS's Flag, HS beats him to it by sneaking in 3 Heron Guards against VR's remaining 3 Warriors and takes it! (The Herons actually pass quite close to VR's advancing army!)

Nicely done!!

VR is looking strong on this one, but suddenly HS's Ghols start tagging the Flags counterclockwise that VR's Warriors had tagged clockwise, and the Ghols are faster! And HS defends his home Flag against VR!

Meanwhile, NKI is defending Flag VIII "to dee det"...

Then HS takes on VR's Archers with his Warriors and suddenly starts tagging Flags around the top!

HS's one Warrior narrowly escapes VR's remaining arrows and tags Flag I for the win!!
