Shiver's Turn - RC9c

Postby Pyro » Mon Sep 15, 2008 12:02 am

Shiver's Turn rc9 is now at the Tain. It includes a readme with the usual info and what was changed. Most of the changes were bug fixes, minor tweaks, and a few other new things. The solo map hasn't been touched. The 8 team map now has Unit Trading, to let you choose which team to be. Thrall that are "buried" will be drained of health during sudden death to prevent stalemates. A message appears to warn you about it, just in case you forget. The unit descriptions give you info on how to use them. Over 30 changes total.

[I went ahead and made this a new thread as some of the earlier post's could be confusing since they're somewhat old --Baak]

I've added Shiver's Turn RC9 to the Battle Plan -- looking forward to playing it! :D

Ugh! I've been notified of two major bugs. I took the plug out of the tain so no one else can download it. One bug deals with the selecting unit being able to "select" a team that is already taken and being stuck without having its own team. This is because the peasant unit has a limit on artifacts and once you grab it, you are stuck with it. This one was easy to fix. The other bug deals with Murgen's copy script. Seems it creates multiple copies. If there are 5 teams total, then it creates 5 copies. This one is going to be harder to fix. I might do this one tomorrow. Until then, don't download rc9.

Ok, I just uploaded an updated version. Shiver's Turn rc9a can be found at the Tain. Those two major bugs are now fixed.

Then you will want to kill me even more... turned out one of the fixes for rc9a did not actually work. And the fix for the other bug caused a minor bug. And another bug was found. Shiver's Turn rc9b is the last one for some time, I promise! If any minor bugs are found, I won't release a new version quickly. I only released new versions this quickly because of major bugs that are easily fixed... relatively speaking. :)

lol - I actually saw the transition to rc9b because I have been updating the Battle Plan page and I noticed the link to The Tain for ST suddenly went back to zero downloads.

I keel u! :D

I'll just disable the d/l link on the BP until Wed/Thu - sound good? :)
