I sure had a great time. And I'm really happy with a lot of the photos I got. I was privileged to have a backstage pass and photo pass. The latter allowed me to go into the photo pit right in front of the stage to take pictures. I could even rest the lens *on* the stage, which I did to steady it occasionally--but ironically, it vibrated more with contact with the stage than when I was just holding it freehand.
That one Ziggy Marley in the collage above is sure nice. With him looking right at you, it just seems extra powerful, and that utterly calm expression... I dunno, exactly, but that one grabs me the most, though many of the other ones have "cool" factor. For anyone who didn't realize, the link in my first post above takes you to more, larger photos.
They're all sharper in their full-resolution splendor than they appear in that web gallery. These have a pretty good deal of jpg compression applied to both make 'em smaller and less good for ppl who want to grab 'em and use 'em w/out my say so. You friends would be able to have better ones if you wanted, like desktop size f'rinstance.
