Forums mostly working now

Postby Baak » Sat Feb 18, 2023 10:09 pm

All--

I've been re-working the old forums software into newer versions of PHP - a definite labor of love - along with the rest of the site...

Everything is mostly working now, but there are bound to be hiccups.

I _just_ updated some things possibly related to "registering" (it is now 22:09 MST Sat Feb 18 2023 for ref)

Dang... ;)

Awesome, thanks for keeping the site running Baak! I've now got a 1-year old baby girl, but could be up for some games later in the evening sometime! Or earlier with some advance planning for childcare :D

 Wow - Congratulations! and Happy Birthday to your little one! :D

I actually read this on Father's Day (amazingly) and then proceeded to drop off the radar...

Life is keeking my butt again schedule-wise... not sure when I will be able to play but will keep checking in now and then - dang, am missing it and the rest of the guys...

Been thinking about VR lately - hoping all is well with everyone and sending out "good vibes" ;) I need to dig out emails from the forums and check the baak email (which I have not check in a very long time)

I promise to figure out some way to play at some point, just not sure when yet #-o

Congrats on the offspring, Milt! Saying this as the parent of a now-three-and-something year old.

Also, it gets really hard to find the time for gaming of any sort (time zone differences with you folks don't help me much, either!).

Thinking of all of you fine folks!

Promises, schpromises! seriously, sorry if life is still kicking your butt - but hope things in baakland are as good as the universe allows.

not sure how laggy my internet connection is these days, but would enjoy some games with old friends if anyone is ever interested in playing myth. i found myth II on my current computer (yay for external HDs!) so it fired it up and ran through a couple of solo maps and quickly realized how hard Myth is to play when you only remember about 10% of the key assignments!

anyways, hope life is treating the rest of OoH well. I don't imagine anyone checks these forums regularly I guess it could be years (or an eternity) before anyone reads this, so I might be writing to the void, but fwiw to anyone reading this, in the years OoH was active, I really had a lot of fun with you guys. Thanks to Baak for being organized and creative and making a place for us to talk and download maps and plugins from (including his own creative plugins), thanks to the original OoH members for taking a chance and letting a non-IRL friend into your gaming group, and thanks to everyone in OoH and special guests, and anyone who ever played with us, for way more hours than I can count of just pure fun.

ggs everyone, ggs. :)
