Order of H'Pak

Man, I must have been working too much this past year - I completely missed the news that they were remastering the original Star Trek!

Weird too: I was just looking into buying the whole series on DVD and then read about someone mentioning the fact that the remastered ones weren't out yet...

They sound awesome!

Sound pretty far out. I have the 3 seasons on DVD now and love them. Remastered sounds neat, but enough different/new/strange that I'd like to keep my originals too.

"New theme music?" "fixed" some stuff? I dunno... I'd like to have these as well as the originals with all their beautiful imperfections.

I see the producers, Mike and Denise Okuda, are the same ppl who did the "original" DVD versions I have.

Yeah, I hear ya Frum - I think everyone is leery of it becoming a George Lucas Star Wars remastering...

I too like the idea of both.

I've just been amazed at watching the Perry Mason and Mission:Impossible DVD's - they are so frickin' crisp! It's hard to image they are 50 and 40 years old respectively.
