thanks for the invite.

glad y'all like demesne and rune. both play a little larger than i wanted, but they're also the first maps i've ever made so no big deal. they're also really quiet, so if you're into ambient sounds, cute details, or anything not purely related to tactics/strategy, they'll probably feel shallow.

i had other ideas to make rune more interesting than a quarter-mirrored map, but it involves stuff i don't know how to do.

as soon as the seattle/dallas game looks decided i'll be on with plugins in hand saturday night.

Excellent, wwo! I'm really glad you're coming :)

I hope dallas goes DOWN!

I'm a 'Niners man, (the poor saps!)

Ahh, I see your email. Yes, Dallas is bad. Very bad. For the playoffs, I'm actually rooting for your boys, the Eagles, because of Jeff Garcia. Some people knocked him while he was with us (SF), but he is smart, accurate, mobile and, most importantly in my book, a team player. It's not "me, me, me, me!" with him at all. I bet you like him a lot better than our reject Owens; didn't you guys end up with that guy for a while? Omg, and now he's on Dallas, the team who's midfield logo he desecrated while a Niner. Last week I drove through Gilroy, the "garlic capital of the woild," the town Jeff Garcia's from. I actually wish we had Jeff back. As for TO, I hope he stays with the cowboys (they seem to need a michael irvin/Terrel owens-type jerk) and loses every game from here to eternity. Thank you very much . ;)

Living in the SF area I saw alot of Jeff Garcia (and TO). One of the most underated players I've ever seen, constantly being written off for one reason or another for not being the proto-type QB. He reminds me of a taller version of Doug Flutie - tends to make his best plays when plays break down and the improvisation starts. I think after a couples seasons, there was a definate "book" on how to defend Garcia, and he lost his job and some effectiveness. He is a really easy player to root for, because he overcomes so much critism with gutsy play. For a relitively small QB (6'0 and under #200) I've seen him take monster hits and get up for the next play. He is one tough SOB mentally and physically. As for the current 49ers QB, I think he could be VERY good in a couple years. Definately has that upside to be an elite QB. Since the Niners are my second favorite, I hope Smith has a great career.

The Playoffs start *NEXT* week for me...

GO CHARGERS!!
