The website for these plugs are:

http://hosted.filefront.com/phordicus

its the only 2 Myth plugs there. Frum might have some inside knowledge on what these plugs are like. The sound cool but I leave up to Baak or whoever to make the final decision.

They were created by wwo (waywardone).

Kewl - I'll load 'em up tonight or tomorrow and see what they look like. Everyone feel free to post opinions here as well.

I don't think much of Rune Chamber.

Perfidy's Demesne looks good for RDF or catapults but I don't think we'll have enough players for the [large ] reg meshes.

I'd say yes for PErfidy's Demesne and no for Rune Chamber.

I pretty much agree with sill. I've played with wwo on these maps, tho on Rune Chamber only once. I didn't like it much :( Sad that I didn't. We played bacon, and it was really hard to push around with all the high maze walls. But he said it wasn't meant for bacon, more for FR or Terries, or LMOTH or KOTH.

But I really like Perfidy's demesne. There's a little thread over at pmnet that has some impressions from a few who have tried it: http://playmyth.net/index.php?name=PNph ... pic&t=5724 .

Man I'd love to do RDF and trebs on it. It's fairly large, somewhat larger than Desert. Wwo's basic intention was to de-emphasize the center's importance while increasing the importance of the outlying areas. I think to some extent he's successful. But that's moot, really; the real thing is, is it fun and good? And it is!

I think the outerlying areas are a little too large, which is why I mentioned RDF/catapults. I understand he didn't want fights to be in the same place everytime, but most of the outlands are all the same. West is rolling flatlands with tree clumps, and East is a big open area above the river. I'd definitely give it some tries, though. [Especially rdf/catapults ]

I'll add Perfidy's Demesne tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the critiquing, guys. :)

I loaded up the maps and thought it was too quiet. Rune didn't have any ambient sounds. Perfidy did but it was the same throughout and kinda got annoying. I believe there are better ways to de-emphasize the center's importance while increasing the importance of the outlying areas. But I'm willing to play either. I just think those maps lack a certain naturalness.

Just loaded them up and though they're not perfect (as others have noted) they have some potential mb - let's give 'em both a whirl even if just for a week or two.

Then we can give the author some feedback and encourage more maps. :)

I have a couple other ones that have been sitting in my "pile o' plugins" forever that I'd like to try - will post all tomorrow afternoon.

Finally, a non-bacon mesh! I like it! =D>
