Michael Jackson's comeback gig? :O

Postby The Elfoid_TFS » Thu Nov 30, 2006 3:09 pm

He promised to recreate the Thriller video live. It got done by someone else since he was scared and he ended up just doing one verse and one chorus from Earth Song (I think it was that one, might be wrong) with some kids. His first live performance since 2000, first in the UK (London) since 1995.

He only went on stage at all since the presenter (Beyonce Knowles, R&B hottie from Destiny's Child) went into his dressing room and begged him.

Michael's "comeback gig" was the World Music Awards
The song he performed was 'We Are the World".

"Michael Jackson was booed off stage following his pop comeback at the World Music Awards last night. The eccentric singer, who seemed to be suffering from stage fright, struggled to hit the high notes and looked uncomfortable throughout his performance of We Are The World.

The singer only delivered a handful of lines before being booed off stage. Jackson was accompanied by a children's gospel choir who sang most of the song before the 48-year-old even made it on stage." -- starpulse.com

ps. Is it just me or does anyone else find the part of "We are the World" a bit creepy when they sing

"We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving...."

I want to hear his next album, whatever he did with kids. I love his work, even if I also think he should be behind bars.

EDIT: His shoulder spasms in that film made me giggle. Excellent.

Aye - cracked me up - and I kept waiting for him to use his other shoulder once in a while!

Must have a good chiropractor... ;)
