Look what I stumbled on in the hills outside Los Angeles... (I can't get the zoom to stick in the URL, so you have to zoom in if you wish)

(Note: I haven't actually been there - just stumbled on the map)

Bet there aren't too many towns with the same names as Myth maps... ;)

Then there is the "Original Real place" "Sleepy Hollow"

ps. I was thinking "I wonder what other maps have real world counterparts" so did a search on "Bagrada". I think I am not going to play this game anymore. I just don't want to know.

Sheesh VR. After reading Baak's post, I did a search for "Chalk Hills" , and Tallow. Then I naively clicked the link for Bagrada. . .

Aaaaah. Damn my eyes!

VR I hate you and all that you stand for. Purely for that. :(

But you know you still love me.

but just to make it up to you and milt I give you an oddity with roots from before you were born. If you don't know of the band "The Cars" it won't make much sense, and if you hate whimsy you won't like this, but if you know their music or have a sense of humor you might find this remake of their late 70's new-wave-pop hit "My Best Friend's Girl" featuring the cars' original keyboardist rather fun.

I still love you, yes. And none of what you went on about means anything to me but that's still hillustastic.

Do you mean hulastatic? Or maybe hularious?

hillus = slang for hilarious. Coined by Acheron BME during early 2004 and understood by approximately 73% of the Myth II community. The cooler half VR!

Just the fact that you know who coined an obscure online gaming slang word I think automatically negates any claim you might make to being cooler than me. Geekier? If that were the only criteria and test, sure - but being geekier requires a more comprehensive test, and although being geeky is cooler than it used to be, unless you ARE already a geek, or are a geek wannabe (don't laugh I dated someone once who was convinced she was a geek - very annoying) being a geek is not cool.

But back to your original point. 73% of the Myth II community = <500 people in the world who know what that word means. Even if you want to pretend that 10,000 people were still playing Myth actively in 2004 when this term was 'coined', that's 7000 people in the entire world who know what 'hillus' means. It's obvious I know but just because something is so obscure that 99.9999999% of the population of the planet doesn't know about it does not make it 'cool'.]

ps. Where did you learn Math that you think 73% = 'half' of anything?
