Anyone know how to find Maramyth, the total conversion for Myth 2 using units from Marathon? I'd love to check it out. I have the SitH Tagset, but want to see this one. I've found only several dead links.

Description:MaraMyth Total Conversion for Myth 2: Soulblighter

----------------------------------------Info:----

Project Lead / Mapmaker / All the Tags:Max Tychomax Gibbons (mgibbons@mac.com)
Mapmaker: Stephen Mechjock Harrison, Other guys

...What's Included?-----------------------

All New (to Myth 2) Units, Sounds, Scenery

One completely new ambient creature

Eight New Netmaps

One Singleplayer / Coop Map

New Gametype: Marine Deathmatch!

What the heck is this thinger, really?-----------------------

MaraMyth is a TC for Myth 2: Soulblighter, that brings back all of our favorite characters from Bungie's Marathon series to the Myth engine. Every unit was painstakingly brought into Myth, complete with the original sound effects and scenery. This is legal, 'cause I'm not selling it or anything.

How do I install it?-----------------------
Drop all of the plugins that were unstuffed into your Myth 2/Plugins/ folder. Once you're playing, remember to turn on the MaraMyth tagset in your game setup thing.

Wow, it really stinks! Who can I talk to about it's horrible-ness?-----------------------

Well sir, you can e-mail me at 'mgibbons@mac.com'. Please put MaraMyth in the subject line of the e-mail. I know that the pregame images stink, and that Bobs can't shoot drones. Hrm...the interface stinks too. I did all this stuff back before I knew how to use Photoshop well.

I'd like to make a super-duper map using the MaraMyth units...can I?-----------------------
Aw shucks, sure you can! Just e-mail before hand and ask. Danke!

I believe it is posted somewhere (VR will likely know via the Map Atlas?) and I also think I may have it stashed somewhere...

In fact, I've posted it on the Private Page under 3rd Party maps for now. If anyone else (who doesn't have access to the Private Page) really wants it, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

This zip contains the tagset and all the maps I could find. :)

Hmm, I can't log into the private page with my normal username and pw.

That quote above is from vr's map atlas, and the link to clanmacgaming doesn't work.

Is the username/pwd information the same as that listed here (at the bottom)?

Sounds cool enough, I'd like to get ahold of it. I think after MWC04 and 05 I got access to private but my memory sucks. I don't demand access though ;)

Frum, did you try accessing the CMG server using a hotline client or just by clicking the link? udogs has a web front end to their hotline site which lets you connect to the server through a browser, but as I recall clanMacGaming doesn't - so the link is right - but you can't click on it and have it open up in a browser.

Or of course CMG's hotline site could be dead - I don't have hotline on this machine so I am unable to check at the moment.

Crikey, I forgot that the private stuff had it's own pw and user things. I was trying with my regular OøH name and pw. Thanks, Baak :)

Vr, thanks for that tip, I had been using the browser to try to access the place. I have this Hotline-compatible thing called, appropriately enough for this thread, Frogblast [the ventcore?!*]. Lol.

*"Frogblast the ventcore!" is a famous quote from Bungie's Marathon series, as the ambient "Bobs" would holler that out periodically. At least, it sounded like that. It could have been another word than "frogblast," but if it is then it is very often misquoted as such.

I have also placed a copy of the zip in a temporary public folder, so get it while it's hot! 8)

I think my favorite odd quote from a character in a Bungie game has to be

"So, they've finally thrown off the shackles of Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Radio Earphone Slavery!"

It was certainly up in December 2005 when I checked for Galleria submitters. Not saying its still up, but if its dead its a recent death.

"So, they've finally toppled the Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Computer God!"

"So, they've finally thrown of the shackles of Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Radio Earphone Slavery!"

That's the 2 possible FCG quotes.
