"Doh! Moment of the Day"

I have been playing Myth for over 6 years now, and not until yesterday did I find out that you can speed up unit trading by holding the shift-key and the up/down arrow keys to maximize/minimize the # of units.

Shift-click Down arrow next to the Thrall - walla! No thrall.

Shift-click Up arrow next to Trebs (after trading away other units to get points) - Walla! Maximum Trebs!

doh!

Anyone else have any 'doh!' myth-related moments recently?

I did find something out the other day. I'd share it with you, but I forgot what it was.

I find selecting my wights and hitting "T" at the start of the game speeds up the inevitable. Can I be captain ????

Moderation in all things, my friend! ;)

Of the other team - definitely!

Yeah that shift-click thing is something I absolutely LOVE. I listed it in one of those docs way back when... Comes in VERY handy. So is that why you always have Thrall, VR? I'm always shift-clicking them away... ;)

Patch 1.5.2 has a couple of nifty features along these lines. Shift-F7 (I think) keeps the stats on screen until you F7 them away (good for KoH and other situations). Caps Lock (I think) keeps a faded health box around all friendly units until you take it off - sweet! :D

I know in 1.5.1 you now see a % of units next to the team members when detaching units - kinda neat.

Frum: Your "selecting more than two units to attack an enemy causes them to attack the entire army" when trying to micro-manage was a revelation to me. Never knew that after all this time... Dang.

In 1.5.1 you can view the faded health boxes of all your team's units by pressing F10 . It's really handy to instantly see which units need healing if you're the guy w/ the Jmen or Heron.

Glad to help. Now you will keel me. :) Yes so during the chaos of a melee battle, the thing to do is select a pair of your melee units and target an individual enemy unit, then select another pair and do it again, etc. Do this until you die, they die, you run away, or they run away.

On the rare occasion I see anyone from OoH playing when English guys play, I find giving them units is a BAD mistake. Anyone have similar issues with them? ;)

I was on Des the other day, pus for our N flank. I dodged a bit, felt I couldn't get close cuz of the 3 dorfs that were spread out. My ghol died, pussed my others and I didn't even stop my team getting pussed by theirs. I had -40 damage. GO ELFOID GO!

Nothing like a Bad Pus Day! Always frustrating when they fire prematurely, or unload four buckets of pus on one enemy warrior and ten of your own. But I still love 'em! :D

"Tired of your ghols exploding at the first bit of excitement? Fed up with all your careful plans for an evening of conquest thwarted by your ghols shooting their loads too soon? Sick of hearing your friends and enemies laughing at the pus stains surrounding your deflated and demoralized ghols? Who wouldn't be? Well, don't despair, just try new 'Gholdelay', a mostly natural magical herbal supplement from Muirthemne Mills, guaranteed to help you keep your ghols in check till the moment is right. "
