on new year's day it was stinking hot, and then this rolled in over top of us at 11 that night. it wasn't what you see that took the power out, either - it was the wind!

Looks lovely!
We had some major wind last week during the night. 60+ mph gusts and in some areas 90+ mph gusts (!!). Dang. Didn't sleep at all.
Today it's just really cold. Tomorrow supposed to have -7F (-22C) windchill.
