Funny, I started watching Dr Who again on Netflix (since there are many free downloadable ones coming available) and was again amazed at the theme music. I particularly like the one from the early 80's (when Peter Davison was the Doctor).

Then this pops up today on the BBC News.

nice find!

i haven't seen all series of doctor who, but imho, tom baker was the classic doctor.

but of course, the original version of the theme tune is far and away the best - the most haunting and most pure. :)

Cool stuff Baak!
I always liked the Dr. Who music (and show), and never heard the entire piece. Interesting how it has a brighter major theme verse (almost campy) way off from the spooky quality of the beginning you hear on the show. Man...I remember thinking how Cool that theme was as a kid! The end still reminds me of the toilet flushing. Septic wormhole to another adventure!

Nice find Baak.

You know what my FAVORITE unexpected discovery in this article was? When you go to adjust the volume in the embedded BBC sound player the volume GOES UP TO 11!
