Talk about Myth, other games and anything else (within the rules)

Those letters/pictures/etc aren't ON the keyboard, they are lights inside the keys displaying those images. You can press a key and switch from a US keyboard to, say, a Japanese keyboard.

Very cool! :D

But... I was thinking more along the lines of the keyboard/mouse combinations that have things like "macros" of command sequences built into multiple buttons on the mouse, etc.

This one looks kind of interesting (not sure how ergonomic it is) - especially when combined with the foot game pads.

So if I counted correctly, if someone/team had won EVERY single tournament that had a cash prize in the last 8 years that person/team would have won a grand total of $2,750. That comes out to $342 and change per year - BUT that includes TEAM tourneys - so if the MWC teams had 5 players who split the money evenly the grand total for an imaginary player who won every solo tourney AND was part of the winning team of every team tourney would be $950 in EIGHT YEARS OF PLAYING ...or $111/year. Hardly a 'professional'

That's all the prizes I can find. I know of at least 3 other tournaments with prizes I was unable to find out about. A lot of websites don't exist.

Semi-professional then. Either way, best way to learn is to watch the tournament masters post-MWC01 (Np's star performance era had really come into its stride by then; they invented modern Myth tactics at this point).

Then look at Civil Order vs. BMF in MWC99. Laugh at the best Mythers of the time failing to even try an dodge. :P

NP was truly amazing imo.

They crushed us - twice as I recall (the therapy is still keeping my memories of our encounter with them somewhat fuzzy).

They were pulling what seemed to be impossible stuff. :)

But I did learn at least one tactic watching them - out of probably a dozen or more they seemed to execute flawlessly.

Think I'll have to watch more of their films...

Northern Paladins invented how 'modern Myth' is played. Basically all other good teams learnt from doing Np stuff but not as well. Most of the major innovations of the game came from them. Before then it was Civil Order, who just had nothing on these guys at their respective peaks.

Even when not together they're outstanding. Tirri has the best FFA tournament record ever, Rabicanp is widely considered the best captain 2001+. Rab just won the co-op tournament too.

Watch MWC01 and MWC04 finals man. MWC04 ones you see Np in one of their 3 tournament losses (TFC2, MWC03, MWC04) - they're not at their peak. But you get to see them in a match featuring Chohan (best player on Myth, ahead of Tirri). Impeccable play.

Haven't you been paying attention at ALL Baak? Here's the cliff notes version.

What is that NP do? They redefine modern myth.

How does NP do this? With style and panache.

I know I'm a sad lifeless Myther who archives information, but even I haven't attempted that.

They also have "mind melding"

You are closer than you may realize! I interviewed the Valor Tournament team Freaks -- nemesis, Ron Coleman (Chron), Noodles and
Verminix -- and they have something much more than that going on! Here's the Article: Feature Team: Freaks (plus Special Guest)

If you liked it, here are the rest of the articles I did about other Valor Tournament teams: Feature Team Editorials

Chohan'll never play Myth again. Never liked the guy, but shame anyway.
