6 months is a long time in terms of servers supporting 8 year old computer games.

"So, they've finally thrown of the shackles of Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Radio Earphone Slavery!"

That's the 2 possible FCG quotes.

Yes, I know. I only posted the second one because only the second one is my favorite. The reason it is my favorite is because the first one makes a certain amount of sense because a dwarf says that line when you near a toppled statue that villagers worshipped in The Fallen Lords - while unlikely in a normal universe, the statue COULD be a statue of this Mad Deadly Worldwide Gangster Communist Frankenstein Computer God (or the statue could be the god itself) so the relationship between toppled statue and toppled god seems pretty clear and direct. On the other hand, having the line about "throwing off the shackles of Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Radio Earphone Slavery" seems much more random - the link between a toppled mysterious statue and throwing off the shackles of Mad, Deadly, Worldwide, Gangster, Communist, Frankenstein Radio Earphone Slavery seems much more nonsensical and whimsical to me.

fyi: When you cut and pasted the quotes from myth.bungie.org, you forgot to fix the text 'thrown OF the shackles' to 'thrown OFF the shackles'. It's a subtle change I know, but correct grammer is so very, uberly, way important in making one look smarter than one is, and helps give the illusion that one just has this mad myff knowledge on the top of one's head. At least that's what I count on.

I'd have to nominate, "Chickens, Attack!" as a high favorite.

Also the Archer, "Damn.", in its multiple (and quite subtle) incarnations from The Wall.

Still, there's something about "Frogblast the Ventcore!" that is so dang funny.

As an aside, the other night when this thread started and I came by to read it I had 808 posts. It looked just like BOB for a second! :D

Because...

a) You might have a copy of the article somewhere that mentions the quote, but the site I listed appears to be the *original source* of the typo.

b) I know everything.

c) except how to spell 'grammar'. [Thanks to Sgt Rogers for the correction]

ps. Sill - thanks for the CMG status update, I was too lazy to install hotline and check it out myself.

And thanks to all of you for all this info. I grabbed the stuff from the private page.

I wonder, does it really have to be kept private by us? It's already out there someplace, mb we should make it easier for ppl to get it.

I can't speak for Baak - ok, I CAN but then he gets all cranky and stuff so I generally don't - but the question of private vs. public availability of 3rd party maps I think relates to issues of permanence vs. semi-permanence and potential bandwidth/storage issues regarding hosting files for the general public?

I bet you could get maramyth loaded to udogs if you wanted.
