That of course assumes and implies that one believes that 'Hell' is in some way extremely 'stupid'.
From a motivational standpoint Hell seems to have been quite effective for a 'goodly' number of people for a considerable period of time. From a practical point of view I think it seems kind of inane. I mean if I were the supreme creator of the universe and people doing bad fings got my panties in such a twist that I created a place called Hell to punish those people for all eternity, I don't think I'd bother waiting until they died. I mean think about it logically... someone is doing something you don't want them to, maybe hurting other people so instead of doing something about it at the time I just make a bad place and threaten you will go there when you die. So, there's never any real proof the place exists, it's not like people come back and tell their friends about it. Besides, telling someone "I really don't want you doing that, you will be sorry when you die" is like the cosmic version of a mother telling a misbehaving child 'wait till your father gets home' - it doesn't make most people scared of the consequences of their actions in the here and now, it just makes people afraid of death (or of dad coming home). Oh, and because I, a supreme being who hates bad fings so much I create hell to punish people who do those bad fings, am 'compassionate', no matter _what_ you do while you are alive, you can get out of your post-life-sentence if you just repent/convert/whatever.
Ok, I agree. Hell is stupid.
ps. I fully support the creation of ambitious projects for Myff. Simultaneously I will make fun of overambitious hubristic names for said projects. I think I am going to call my next project "The most awesomest Myff solo adventure yet, in fact it's so much better than the original Myff I don't even want to have the word 'myff' in the title lest my mega awesome superlatively laden creation be tarnished by association with that old school crap called 'myff'". Or maybe for short I will just call it "Vinylrake's Superlatively Laden Myth Project".
